Thomson-East Coast Line Stage 4
The Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL) is a 43km MRT Train line that runs from the North down to the central district and through the Eastern region.
The TEL when completed will connect to the East-West Line, North-South Line, North-East Line, Circle Line and the Downtown Line at selected 7 station interchanges.
There are a total of 31 stations to the TEL line. The TEL will start operation from 2019 to 2024 in 5 stages.
The TEL stage 4 consists of 9 stations that run along the East Coast. Commuters can expect massive time savings on their commute to CBD.
The Tanjong Katong MRT station is an underground MRT located below the intersection of Tanjong Katong Road South and Meyer Road.
Interestingly, the name of the station became official after a public voting exercise which chose it over the name Amber in 2016.
Once operational in 2023, the MRT station will serve residents staying in the private residential properties such as Amber Skye, Aalto, Nyon condo, Amber Park etc.
